Not The Sheffield Parkour Diaries
A little video from a few days' training with the lads back in Sheffield while home for Easter:
It's not the diaries. Honest.

Parkour - The Nature Of Challenge
This is the new parkour documentary. It was produced by two good friends of mine; the legendary Paul Maunder and written by the Chairman of the British Parkour Coaching Association, Dave Sedgley. This is truly the greatest parkour documentary we have seen to date, in terms of its content (the words and the movement) and in terms of how well it was produced, putting the word of parkour out there in such a way to put the name of parkour in its proper place. It's the best thing we've ever seen in parkour.
As stated at the start of the film, its purpose is to introduce people to parkour and to correct any misconceptions the viewer may have from past explanations or natural assumptions about what parkour is based on what they may have seen.
It's in four parts and well worth taking the time to sit down, turn off any distractions and just watch and learn. You may want to click the video to be able to watch in HD.

Let's Go On An Adventure, I've Got Lots To Show You
Here is a parkour special edition of the recently-revived diaries with episode 15, edited by yours truly. It contains 90% parkour and just 10% silliness and promises to be entertaining and inspiring. This is a showcase of the movements we have accomplished during this week's training, and features training at the University of Sheffield English Department and also Tapton Flats, an abandoned estate outside the city centre of Sheffield. I hope you enjoy the video.

SPKD: Back by Popular Demand
This is a video made from clips taken on one Saturday jam day. It's kind of a Sheffield Parkour Diaries revival, back by popular demand (episode 14). It's made by Danny Wood and features his new parkour rap. I hope you enjoy the video, because I did - it's hilarious!

Parkour Pilgrimage Project - Full Length Documentary
Here is the full length (90 minutes) documentary about Lisses, the birthplace of parkour - and about the discipline itself. It contains footage of 150+ traceurs from all over the world (including me!), and was shown to David Belle for approval before release. Look out for me in the action bits! Specifically look out for me and my fish! My name appears in the credits too.I know it's a long video, but if you're interested in parkour then it really is worth every second - it's brilliant quality and very well produced.
If you'd rather watch a shorter version, there's the preview of this documentary, which is just a 3-minute preview of the action used in the main feature (here) or there's my Lisses Trip video (here).

Place de Chevreuse - Pilgrimage Preview
This is a 3-minute preview of the Parkour Pilgrimage Project, a 90-minute parkour documentary. The preview shows a small section of the action part of the documentary, all clips from the flats in Lisses. The clips were collected from traceurs all over the world who had been on a pilgrinage to Lisses and made their own video. Duncan, the producer of the documentary, asked me to send my video so he could use some of the clips. There are a couple of me in this preview, and more in the whole thing. Watch out for me!Labels: Documentary, Featured, France, Lisses, Parkour

Us On BBC Inside Out
The presenter in this programme, Jamie Coulson, emailed me to ask if me and the guys would be up for doing some stuff for the show, so I arranged for him to come along to the Trace Gathering and also to one of the training sessions in Sheffield. It was broadcast on BBC1 on 7 November 2007. This is that programme:Labels: BBC, Featured, Parkour, Sheffield, TV

Trip To Lisses 2007
This is my favourite video. It's the video of the first time I went to Lisses, which is where parkour began. It shows clips of my accomplishments over the course of the week, such as various jumps and vaults as well as managing to conquer the fear of the Dame Du Lac structure and climb to the top! Thanks to Sam, Scotty, Danny and Kai for making it an awesome trip!

Trace Gathering 07
This video was filmed by Chris Ilabaca and edited by Jason Matten. It's the official video of the best clips from the Trace Gathering 07, featuring the Trace Reps such as Daniel Ilabaca and the Saiyans as well as other traceurs. A few clips of me are included - watch out for me!Labels: Featured, Parkour, Peak District

Sheffield Parkour Diaries | Episode 11
The Sheffield Parkour Diaries are a series of messaround parkour jam video journals which usually show one Saturday's parkour jam and the crazy events that occur throughout the day. They occasionally contain a bit of parkour training! Anyway, Episode 11 was my turn to have a go, and too many crazy things happened for there to be any seriousness in there, just polystyrene sword fights with drunken pirates and stuff like that. Will and I did a couple of huge standing arm jumps at the end, so keep watching. I'm really proud of making the rooftop one!The video is dedicated to the memory of Shane's younger brother, who sadly died the previous month.
RIP Danny Rounce.

My Received Files
This is a video of clips I found in my Received Files folder containing all the files people had sent me over the past couple of years. Even the song was sent to me. There's some really crazy stuff in there!Posted by Ben Nuttall at 03:49 ![]()

Sheffield Parkour's New Video
Well, it was new at the time. This is a video Shane made of me, him and a few other traceurs in Sheffield, using clips from two jam days. It's got some funky stuff in it from all those involved.Labels: Featured, Parkour, Sheffield

Pacman
Pacman is a video I made from shots I took of me trying a level saut de chat precision at the Odeon in Sheffield two days after my 18th birthday, on the day of my party. It includes the build-up, a bail and the progression from one wall, one-foot landing, then two-foot, then the same on the next wall. The song is a remix of the Pacman sounds. Enjoy:Posted by Ben Nuttall at 02:38 ![]()

Manchester Weekend
I planned to go and see one of my (now) favourite bands, Motion City Soundtrack, at the Academy in Manchester one Friday night and wanted to make the most of the weekend by staying over and training on the Saturday and Sunday with the Manchester guys. I stayed at Will's house in Macclesfield after the gig and we got the train back into Manchester the next morning and met Dave and Paul and the others for the jam. Then I stayed at Dave's house and watched a load of old parkour videos from the archive on his computer, and ate some home-made muesli. We trained again on the Sunday and went to the gym, did some serious stuff and a bit of messing around to Tenacious D! Check out the video:Labels: Manchester, Parkour

We Know The Way
Will, Danny and I went to the peak district one day in Summer 2006 and filmed some cool jumps and stuff. It was a fun day and we learned from each other. Here's the video:Labels: Parkour, Peak District

7am
My first attempt at making a video! A few clips I'd shot in Rother Valley with my new camera - I'd decided to go training at 7:00 one morning when my sleeping pattern had been altered after coming back from New York. I then whacked the clips into Windows Movie Maker and played around with them to see how it worked. Too many tacky transitions.Labels: Parkour

Northern Parkour Gathering 2006
This video is of the three-day gathering organised by Dave Sedgely and Jason Matten (like a test run for what was to become the Trace Gathering) in the Summer of 2006, held in a different location each day; the peak district, Sheffield and Manchester.Labels: Manchester, Parkour, Peak District, Sheffield

Feeling Good
This is a video we arranged to film for the purpose of making a decent quality video to showcase what the Northern Parkour scene was up to. Paul and a colleague came over to Sheffield to film and we went round the city centre stopping at the various training locations to film some shots. It features Dave and myself going for a huge roof-to-roof arm jump for the very first time.Labels: Featured, Parkour, Sheffield

12 Hour Jam
This is a video of my first parkour trip to Manchester, back in December 2005. I was (and secretly still am) really proud of that dash vault over the big wall off the bench! The bail hurt for a week or so...Thanks to Grant and Grassam for filming and editing. I wish you both still trained.

Uber Jam
This is the very first video I can find with me in it. It was filmed one Saturday in August 2005, so it had only been just over 6 months since most of us had first heard the word 'parkour'. It was filmed and edited by a couple of guys from Leek.Posted by Ben Nuttall at 00:25 ![]()
